the boys are tearing this place apart lately

Dave had an early patient today- out the door by 6:30 AM
Logan didn't sleep well last night
kept us up
guess who was the first kid awake this morning
ggrrrrrrrrrr!
Yes, that is Logan asleepwalked home from the park 5 minutes before
he plopped down on the couch
i went to the bathroom to pee
he was asleep by the time i came back
zonked out!
Toby is finally making it through our reading lessons without melting down
he likes to write and learn his sounds
he asks almost every day when it's his turn to go to school
we signed him up for a month of preschool in june
Jessie's open house at school was on tuesday
early release day too because of the open house
i totally forgot-----bad mom.
jessie didn't care, thankfully
jessie loves rainbows
most of her work she showed me in the classroom i already knew was hers because of the colors
she loves math, spelling and science
it's still a mild struggle to get her to sit down with a book
hasn't discovered yet that reading can be fun
dave and i are reading more so hopefully that will sink in soon
somehow we got lax in reading our scriptures at night with the kids
have to get back on track with that asap
lots of late nights away for dave lately
i'm in a funky mood
scatter-brained
i chalk it up to post-baby hormone shifts
speaking of baby
Sydney is perfect
sleeping through the night
she is rarely fussy
curled up on the couch next to me sleeping right now
she looks so warm and....perfect
even with the mohawk bed-head
taxes are done and sent
fat refund coming our way thanks to dave's business start-up
money going straight to student loan payment
and the "debt snowball" gets rollin!
