*Wedding fun*

It's so easy to get caught up in wedding hype when you're in a busy bridal boutique. Denise, Marci and I went to J'aime Bridal in downtown Pleasanton to look at bridesmaids dresses for Denise's quickly approaching wedding. Can I just say that it is next to impossible to find a bridesmaid dress with any fabric above the boobs. Everything is strapless or spaghetti straps. When you're looking for a modest dress to wear amidst the skin-bearing fashions of the day it can get really frustrating. We finally found one that works and I LOVE IT!!
<-----Here it is except we are wearing it with a white lace top and deep ruby red bottom. It's going to look hot- if I do say so myself.

My little superhero

TJ is all about superheroes. The kids lives and breathes them. These are the latest shots of him with his new Ben 10 watch. so cute.We were driving to Gram's house for dinner tonight while J was telling us about Martin Luther King Jr. since that is why there is no school tomorrow. She explained that he changed the rules........white people rode in the front of the buses and black people stood in the back. At the end of her story I mentioned that white people and black people even had to use separate bathrooms during that time. Silence.

Toby says, "I don't want to be a bathroom human!" Huh? Kids do say the darndest things. This coming from an almost 4 year-old who would rather spend his days as a four-armed monster or his ultimate superhero, Batman.

There should be a rule............

that kids can't wake up before 8 AM on Saturday morning.

That's it. I just want to sleep in for and hour or so on one day a week. Hmmm- Jess just got a cool new alarm clock. Maybe Mom and Dad WILL make a new rule..............

Happy Birthday old man!!

Hee.Hee. Dave turned 30 last week. His goal was to be a Doctor before he turned 30 and he did it!! Considering we were married when we were both 21 the time has slipped away in some respects. I always thought 30 was SO old, but now that Dave is and I will be the big 3-0 this year I've changed my mind. You're only as old as you feel, right? 30 is going to be a great year for you, babe. I look forward to see all you accomplish with your enthusiasm to help others and the skills and knowledge you possess.

state of limbo

It has sunk in that Dave has really graduated and is NOT going back to school. The holiday break is over, the celebrations have ended and we are back to facing reality. Dave has been waiting for the State to give him the go ahead to take his state boards so he can practice. We have been impatiently waiting for leads to go through for a practice. Lots of frustrating waiting. Meanwhile the bills are not going to pay themselves, unfortunately. My parents graciously offered to pay Dave to help fix their house. That can't happen for too long though and the month of January is passing all too quickly. Lots of good changes on the horizon- just not as quickly as we would like.

On a lighter note- Rub a Dub-Dub, here's my 3 chillies in a tub. It's surprising what simple items kids will take and play with for hours. This tub is waiting in our living room to go home to Gramma's house, but the kids don't want to let it go. It's a spaceship, a boat, a bed and even a race car. They look so cute in their Christmas jammies. This picture makes me want to jump in and snuggle 'em all at once in their soft pj's.
