Today's a busy Saturday. I now have double the laundry to do over the weekend because Dave brings home all the exam gowns and towels from the office. That ball got rolling at 7 AM to beat the crowd in the laundry room. I have a shower gift to pick up, a quick gift to make, figure out what to give our Mom's tomorrow (always the procrastinator), oversee the regular Saturday chores with the kids and grocery shopping to do. all before 3.

Our peaceful waking time this morning was abruptly interrupted by a chillie of the Coop variety falling out of his crib, bouncing off the night stand and ending with a thud on the floor. The wailing soon ensued and any hope of me drifting off to sleep next to hubby was quickly gone. So yeah, Coop has learned to climb out of his crib. He sleeps in our room next to the bed with a nightstand in between and he learned to use the nightstand as a step to haul his monkey self out whenever he wants. This has brought an entirely new facet to nap time and bedtime. We can't tuck him in and say goodnight for good anymore. Now he will sneak out and creep into the living room with one hand over his left eye. This means he is shy or he knows he is doing something that could possibly get him into trouble unless he looks irresistibly cute for Mom and Dad. Yesterday I went to check on him 10 minutes after I put him down for a nap and he was in our closet with his blanket. He looks up at me and says, "I sleep! Time to get up." Yeah, like he fit an entire 2 hour nap in 10 minutes. He thinks he is so smart. Mom will get the last say.

It's been a long and eventful week since my last update. Dave is doing great at work and now he is concentrating on bringing in new patients. He's still working on the new website and business cards. We ordered some temporary business cards a couple nights ago because he needs them, like 2 weeks ago. It's darn tootin' exciting to see my hubby happy in his career, even if getting the business up and running almost killed him off. ;)

We got to spend last night with my brother who was in town from Utah. He has a new job that requires him to travel so once in awhile we will get to see him. We caught up and he showed me the floor plan of their new house. Can I just say how almost overwhelmingly depressing it is to realize that the amount of money they paid for their 2000+ square foot house is the same amount of debt we have after chiropractic school and buying a practice. To bring it more close to home (or farther away, really) we couldn't even buy a 1 Bd. condo where we live for that amount of money. *sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh* Yet this new job and location still feels right for us.

Lots more is happening within these walls of our home. I will update when I can and remember to.
